I can't change 5-6 to RAID without first doing it to 1-4. So I set ports 1-4 to operate in RAID mode. The board groups the SATA ports together in a way that ports 1-4 will operate in the same mode and 5-6 will operate in the same mode. Using my motherboard's onboard controller (this is an ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0) I set them in a RAID 0 config. In my home setup, I have a 120GB SSD for the boot drive and I just recently got a couple more 256's for my data storage to replace the spinning rust. Forewarning, this is my first RAID setup.
